Partnerships
Local Culture Journal considers collaborations that fit its interest in local customs, shared spaces, creative practices, language, and memory. We look for useful connections that readers can recognise clearly, without blurring the line between editorial work and partner material.
Possible collaborations
Suitable proposals may include a clearly identified partner feature, a relevant resource placement, or a thematic collaboration that adds context for readers. We consider each idea on its fit, clarity, and likely usefulness; a proposal does not guarantee acceptance or editorial coverage.
Partner placements
We accept selected partner placements across the site when they are relevant to the publication and presented transparently. Placement wording must be accurate and must not imply endorsement of claims that have not been independently assessed. Commercial arrangements do not determine our independent editorial choices.
Clear labelling
Partner-supported content and placements are labelled so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial material. We will not present paid material as an independent recommendation, nor suggest that a partnership represents the views of a whole community.
Making a proposal
Use the Contact page and select the partnership option. Explain the proposed subject or placement, its connection to Local Culture Journal, and what readers would gain. Please include the nature of any commercial relationship and the material you would want considered.
A place is more than its landmarks.
Local character also lives in shared habits, familiar words, handmade things, and the spaces people return to.
